the color of the pads matche with the color of the compound or glaze or final glaze. Presta got his how colors 3M got his own colors, CarBrite, etc… Linen pad and foam pad are whites like the compound, the glaze is dark like the pad it fit with.. ( talking about 3M here) its eazy ^^

How about Wool pads, then use yellow pads, and then cream color pads?? that is how it goes with mine, but should I change to white and black color? Color of the pads does not mean much to me.. its what is made for matters to me… so, this video was not very helpful unless I had exact same pads you use.

3m (or Scotch) is a manufacturer. 3m owns Meguiars in the UK. They (under the 3m brand) do a range of compounding and finishing products. Their three best being Fast Cut Plus, Extra Fine Compound, and Ultra Finesse.

whats 3m? sorry im a noob

  5. digiguy Says:

This is sadly true of the US products, but not the UK. We have some of the best products from 3M available on the market.

You should mention whether the product is put on the pad or on the surface, and how much. Also, what to use to wipe off anything left around…between pads, and at the end. It would be good to know what kind of pressure to use, and also how long to apply the pad, and what to look for in case you go to far. I’m trying today for the very first time to see if I can g et a big scuff on my jag clearcoat to disappear…
